Upgrading Concessions
Given that the turnstiles at the OS are unmanned, can anyone think of a logical reason why you would upgrade an U21 ticket to full adult, for example?

Re: Upgrading Concessions
I really suggest that EVERYONE be honest and pay for the upgrade otherwise just let the seat go to waste.

It's the same as UP. Behind some turnstiles there are people watching the lights.

Perhaps the club will pull their finger out and enable people to do this online.

I mean fancy developing a fancy new ticket portal and failing to incorporate this very basic bit of functionality.

Re: Upgrading Concessions
I bought a ticket off KUMB a few years back at a pretty cheap price but the guy made it clear it was a kids seat so I could risk it or pay the difference.

I queued up before the game and paid the difference, it came to roughly the face value of the ticket but that's fair enough.

This thread has now set off alarms on the mainframe of the Central Irons Agency, and they will be waiting for you above the turnstiles in their black helicopters.

Should have held mum.

Never saw anyone get stopped at Upton Park and not seen anyone checking at the OS.

Re: Upgrading Concessions
The turnstiles have someone the other side watching to see if the light above changes colour to show its a concession.
Some people will get caught some won't.

Did anyone who bought a £99 kids ST at the reservation centre end up having to provide ID for the kid?

Re: Upgrading Concessions
No and they never will, despite bullshit from OtB to the contrary.

Re: Upgrading Concessions
They are checking ,the turnstile I went through had two stewards inside looking at the lights ,green is a normal adult ticket and orange is a concession,if it goes orange they have to challenge and if an adult is using a child ticket they have to confiscate the ticket and send them out .
I don't know what the follow up procedure is ,whether they send you a letter to see if you want to upgrade and have the ticket back or forfeit it.

that said if you are with a group and the first through ask the stewards for directions to where their seats are while they are explaining the concession goes through unchallenged.
Not that I am suggesting you do that of course

upgraded a kids ticket for a friend yesterday in block 204 , didn't want the grief of maybe or not it would be ok, £37 to upgrade from child to normal adult , had to do it on the phone on friday ,as yet there is no way of doing this online which seems poor .
